SUA prides itself on training crew chiefs, drivers, and attendants to a remarkably high caliber.
Members go through intense peer-based training and are constantly under review for promotions or other considerations.
SUA is primarily a teaching organization; not only do we teach our members about the field of EMS in general,
but also we provide some of life's most important lessons at an accelerated rate. Members quickly learn responsibility,
dedication, discipline, and teamwork skills. Our members expect to learn on every shift they complete, and our patients
should expect extraordinary care from our teams of qualified ambulance crews.
SUA is always seeking motivated individuals who wish to be a part of our organization.
We provide all necessary training, and there is no experience required.
Individuals wishing to be certified as New York State Emergency Medical Technicians may do so and receive 3-6 university elective credits.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail our personnel supervisor Steve Maheux, or stop by our headquarters at the SU Health Center.
