Enjoying the evening as a membership and SUA Family at our Annual SUA Banquet. Tonight we recognize new and old members, who have made SUA the absolutely unique and incredible organization we all love. Congratulations to our newest members from the Spring 2017 class! You all have worked so hard over these past 5 weeks, and we are so excited to see the great things you do in the organization. Great job and welcome to the #suafamily ! #ProbiesNoMore #WeMadeIt #scenesafetybsi
A very happy retirement to our beloved dispatcher Katy Linnertz❣️ Katy, pictured center at her retirement reception in headquarters, is with us during the busy, day time hours every week ensuring MTS is run efficiently and with care. She is also our home base for our day time crews when calls come in and a resource to any member at any time! Katy has been a huge part of our SUA family for many years, fostering a strong family spirit, sharing her experience in EMS, and being a bright and welcoming face in headquarters. Katy will be dearly missed, but we are excited to see what adventures retirement brings! Come back and visit often 😊
Yesterday’s SUA scenario training was a stellar learning experience. It gave the organization the opportunity to work together on a variety of calls with every EMT practicing as Crew Chief. It was all possible thanks to our Training Supervisor Jenny-Lee Aciu! @jennyleeaciu has been working tirelessly these past two weeks and planning since the beginning of the semester to ensure this training was successful. Thank you so much, Jenny, for your dedication to improving our skills and professionalism as an organization. #suambfam #suambulance #gocuse
SUA had a terrifyingly great scenario training with AMR today. The organization worked in units to tackle different calls on amputations, choking, shock, difficulty breathing, falls, a stabbing, and scene safety *pictured here* Big thank you to AMR for training with us and letting us use their gorgeous new facility. #suambulance #gocuse #scenesafetybsi #friendsofems (at AMR of Central New York)

Member Appreciation Post!
Over this past winter break 7 of our SUA family embarked on a journey to Panama with the SU chapter of Global Brigades to promote sustainable public health, bond with the community, and provide relief where there is limited healthcare. They volunteered for about a week, immersed in a new culture and place to spread health education and compassion to the people of Panama. Shout out to @evcahta @mgesner50 @emilylehmann22 @cait_hewitt @tachermelanie @megan_panebianco @rachashroth for sharing their skills and experience to improve our amazing world 🌎 #syracuseproud #ems #globalbrigades #suafam
Come check out the brand-spankin’ new SUA Headquarters, located in the basement of Lyman hall at 100 College Place, tonight at 7 pm! Our house is open, so check it out! (at Lyman Hall)
Meet our SUA Secretary: Sophia Bourgeois!
Sophia is a Sophomore at SU studying Public Health on a pre-medicine track. She joined SUA in 2015, the fall of her freshman year. Sophia’s responsibility as Secretary is to attend the Admin meetings and then create an enthusiastic email to send out to all of the SUA membership. This email informs members of what is going on at SUA within the executive and administrative branches. Sophia’s favorite part about holding this position is how she can use her enthusiasm and love for SUA to keep the membership informed and excited. A fun fact about Sophia is that she lives in France in the summer and speaks fluent french! Sophia says that, “When I joined SUA my freshman year, I not only joined an organization that serves the SU community, but I also joined a family… one that I will forever be apart of.” 😊🚑 #suambulance #suafam #nyems (at Syracuse University)
Come check out the SUA table at the Involvement fair today in Goldstein Auditorium until 3 pm! Learn some more about the Syracuse Campus EMS, our members, and how you can be a part of it all. Spring recruitment is in action, so come with questions and comments. Applications for Spring are due January 30th! (at Goldstein Auditorium)
Happy holidays from our family to your’s! We hope the rest of your year is filled with peace, joy, and happiness ☃️❄️
Meet our SUA Treasurer: David Dupont!
David is a Junior at SU studying Finance and Accounting. He joined SUA in the fall of his Sophomore year in order to give back to the Syracuse community while gaining a set of vital skills and friends that he will cherish his entire life. As the Treasurer of SUA, David is responsible for assembling an annual budget that is crucial to allow the organization to operate day-to-day. Everything from gauze all the way to new equipment on our ambulances must be budgeted a year ahead of time in order to gain our funding from the SA. David works side by side with SUA’s President, VP and EMS Manager in order to do so. David says “Joining SUA has had the biggest impact on my time spent at SU. I have gained a group of lifelong friends that are some of the hardest working and generous people I have ever met. The organization as a whole fulfilled a deep need and want of mine to be involved in EMS and being able to do so with my friends is an amazing facet that I wouldn’t trade in for anything!”. David is a Driver Trainer, Dispatcher at SUA and is currently taking the New York State EMT class which has its final exam this coming Thursday! Good luck, David! 👍🏼🚔
Meet our SUA Vice President: Megan Panebianco!
Megan is a Junior majoring in Psychology and is going on her 3rd year in SUA! Megan fell in love with SUA the moment she joined and has dedicated many hours to becoming a Driver, Crew Chief and Dispatch Trainer. As Vice President, Megan is the liaison between the Syracuse community and SUA and she is responsible for creating fun events to bring the organization closer together. This year Megan has planned events such as SUA Paintball, SUA Admin Retreat to Montreal and her latest event SUA MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE! Megan also schedules 8 members to Volunteer at the Rescue Mission Soup Kitchen two times a month! Megan is also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team but her all time favorite activity is watching Criminal Minds in SUA Quarters! “Honestly, I am the person I am today because of SUA. It has made such an impact not only on my college career but in my life. Everyday I look forward to giving back to my community and helping those in need and the best part about it is I get to do it with my best friends. These people are my family and I couldn’t imagine my life without them!”
SUA may be a bunch of crowd pleasers, but we can really nail a mannequin challenge! We challenge @fivequadvas to show us what they’ve got!
Right back at you, Remembrance Scholars! Thank you for showing your appreciation for EMS with your thoughtful and considerate notes 👍🏼 #CuseCommunity #nyems #sua
