A very happy retirement to our beloved dispatcher Katy Linnertz❣️ Katy, pictured center at her retirement reception in headquarters, is with us during the busy, day time hours every week ensuring MTS is run efficiently and with care. She is also our home base for our day time crews when calls come in and a resource to any member at any time! Katy has been a huge part of our SUA family for many years, fostering a strong family spirit, sharing her experience in EMS, and being a bright and welcoming face in headquarters. Katy will be dearly missed, but we are excited to see what adventures retirement brings! Come back and visit often 😊
Yesterday’s SUA scenario training was a stellar learning experience. It gave the organization the opportunity to work together on a variety of calls with every EMT practicing as Crew Chief. It was all possible thanks to our Training Supervisor Jenny-Lee Aciu! @jennyleeaciu has been working tirelessly these past two weeks and planning since the beginning of the semester to ensure this training was successful. Thank you so much, Jenny, for your dedication to improving our skills and professionalism as an organization. #suambfam #suambulance #gocuse
SUA had a terrifyingly great scenario training with AMR today. The organization worked in units to tackle different calls on amputations, choking, shock, difficulty breathing, falls, a stabbing, and scene safety *pictured here* Big thank you to AMR for training with us and letting us use their gorgeous new facility. #suambulance #gocuse #scenesafetybsi #friendsofems (at AMR of Central New York)

Sophia’s responsibility as Secretary is to attend the Admin meetings and then create an enthusiastic email to send out to all of the SUA membership. This email informs members of what is going on at SUA within the executive and administrative branches. A fun fact about Sophia is that she lives in France in the summer and speaks fluent french! Sophia says that, “When I joined SUA my freshman year, I not only joined an organization that serves the SU community, but I also joined a family… one that I will forever be apart of.” 😊🚑 #suambulance #suafam #nyems (at Syracuse University)

David works side by side with SUA’s President, VP and EMS Manager in order to do so. David says “Joining SUA has had the biggest impact on my time spent at SU. I have gained a group of lifelong friends that are some of the hardest working and generous people I have ever met. The organization as a whole fulfilled a deep need and want of mine to be involved in EMS and being able to do so with my friends is an amazing facet that I wouldn’t trade in for anything!”.
